Welcome to Amagzing Grace We are a non-denominational, evangelical Christian ministry. We believe in Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible in its entirety. We believe in the trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We do not require that you belong to any particular religious affiliation. We do ask that you know the Lord God Almighty, recognize the lordship of Jesus Christ and cultivate a one-on one relationship with him. This way, we know you are in good
hands. Amen.
Word for the Day
Who do you trust? 2 Kings 12:17-21
17 About this time King Hazael of Aram went to war against Gath and captured it. Then he turned to attack Jerusalem.
18 King Joash collected all the sacred objects that Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, and Ahaziah, the previous kings of Judah, had dedicated, along with what he himself had dedicated. He sent them all to Hazael, along with all the gold in the treasuries of the Lord’s Temple and the royal palace. So Hazael called off his attack on Jerusalem.
19 The rest of the events in Joash’s reign and everything he did are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Judah.
20 Joash’s officers plotted against him and assassinated him at Beth-millo on the road to Silla.
21 The assassins were Jozacar son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer—both trusted advisers. Joash was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. Then his son Amaziah became the next king.
Matthew 10: 28 “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Praise the Lord! Sometimes in life, when we come to that challenge that we think would break us, we panic. Yes, sometimes we panic, but what you do when you panic shows you what you are made of; it tells you how deeply rooted you are in what you believe; it tells you where your true strength lies. King Joash was a man who started off well, 2 Kings 12: 2 says that, Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days as Jehoiada the priest instructed him. Now, what made such a man as this, who had done so well make such a wrong choice? For fear of the king of Syria, Jehoash chose to give away the sacred objects of the Lord in exchange for his safety. He bought his safety from man instead of trusting the Lord. Just like King Jehoash, sometimes we fear man more than we fear the Lord. We fear man to the extent that we forget the power of God, we forget what God has done for us before, and we forget the saving power of God. You or man cannot help you, it is God that can help you. Psalm 127: 1 says, “Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.” (NLT)
I do not know who or what your king of Syria is today, but I am here to tell you that God is able, if He has said it, He will do it, do not be afraid of man and what they can do or not do, just put your trust in the Lord. Proverbs 21: 1 says, “The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases” The heart of that man or that woman who is holding your blessing is in the hands of God, so look up to God not the person. Man can fail you but God can never fail you, His promises are always yea and amen. Hold on to God’s unchanging and never failing hand.
Have a blessed day.
